Hello,
I'm Terri Pardo, publisher of 2ndNestHomes.
I appreciate you viewing the site and welcome your questions and comments in writing.
The oldest of 6, born in Richmond IN. My Great Grandfather was an early"Snowbird" building a home about 1930 in Tampa, where I grew up. While going to college part time and trying to work, I quickly learned that spending 8 hours promoting a product or service netted as much income as 40 hours at a clerical job.
Originally licensed as a Real Estate sales person at 25, I continued doing part-time marketing assignments representing many companies including Wrigley, Nabisco and CBS-Fox Video.
Looking at retirement communities for my mom in 1999, I began buying & selling 55+ manufactured homes -
learning how important the management of a community is along with differences of owning a home on real property versus owning a home on a rental lot. The Florida statutes continue to change as well.
I have resided in Fair Lane Acres for seven years and own two homes in the community. I am not retired - I earn a living offering traditional commission based sales and For Sale By Owner flat fee services.

Public Library 3/16/12 Our voting rights as owners continue to be diminished as quickly as the BOD can spend the $$ to have the association documents changed to insure those in power keep their seat and MEB Mgmt. Possibly next year the Florida legislature will change the election/voting procedure to match condominum and cooperative association statutes. 3/18/11 FLA BOD Meeting on Monday, 3/21/11 the agenda mentions consideration to amend the association documents - but not in what way/nothing specific!#$%^&* 3/11/11i.b5z.net/i/u/543689/f/ltrrespBCurtis.rtf Responses to home owner Q's you may have wondered about too.
3/5/11 Will the lady who purchased the swivel rocker at my yard sale please contact me...I will deliver it if I knew where.
3/3/11 SPECIAL FLA MEETING to appoint/replace board member on 3/4/11...the only surprise is that it took 42 days from the election.
3/1/11 THANK YOU! to the powers that control the newsletter for including the minutes of the last two BOD meetings in the March FLA newsletter! RP Sales 3/1/11 - 3/31/11 3/3/11 Sharpe - Russell $40,000. 703 51st Ave Dr
2/22/11 FLA bod meetingThe new president was not in attendance. The VP was so focused on re-arranging committee deck chairs to accomodate the past president, she forgot their were two new members on board.

The licensed CAM Manager reminded the BOD that although they budgeted $40,000. for real estate purchases for 2011 - it is only JANUARY and the $money$ has not been collected. Fair Lane Acres has an outstanding mortgage of $669,000. (what did the Membership get for that $$??) 10/19/10 At yesterdays meeting, Fair Lane Acres directors drank the kool-aid authorizing $42,000 more in residential real estate purchases adding to the Associations existing portfolio of 16 non-income producing lots
and yet the board resents the cost of forwarding maintenance fee payments dropped at the office by (PAYING) home owners!#$%^&* If this Board put as much time & talk into structuring deals to finance SALES of its EXISTING LOTS as it does to arranging sweetheart deals for lots it wants, we would not have a mortgage and could afford infrastructure repairs and improvements benefiting the majority. The lawsuit brought by 4 owners against Fair Lane Acres is being appealed in District Court. FYI - response has yet to be received to the attached letter. i.b5z.net/i/u/543689/f/FLA_business_judgement.rtf Happier to note, Mary Frost's son brought her an eight month old Boston puppy from California which she has named Andy, a new companion for her and Rudy, her other Boston.
